TV channel rebrand - Ident and OSP kit
"We invited SR Partners to help with the development of the brand property and creation of some fun idents for CBBC, and it was a wise choice. CBBC - Channel Brand
Brief
SR collaborated with TWIN Associates and BBC Creative to develop a fun, engaging channel brand for CBBC. Working within the BBC Masterbrand framework, our partners provided a branding template and early concepts in which the BBC logo transformed into animated “flooms.” The core focus was to bring this world to life in ways that would delight and captivate young audiences.
Insight
We explored themes designed to resonate with the target audience -boys and girls aged 8–11, developing ideas in close collaboration with the wider team. A broad range of themes, materials, and visual effects were tested to ensure a flexible suite of assets that remained cohesive within the brand. The goal was to create distinctive, playful moments that would surprise and engage young viewers.
This collaborative approach allowed us to experiment with multiple techniques and creative directions before refining the final outcomes. Maintaining consistency across the full asset suite was essential, particularly as partner agency Ink & Giants was developing a separate set of components in parallel.
Solution
We created a family of blips and openers, alongside four idents that bring the channel’s personality to life. These included distinctive sequences featuring sequins, doughnuts, lava tubes, crystals, and tentacles, crafted and edited into dynamic, entertaining animations.
Factory created the sound design, ensuring the visuals were complemented by playful, engaging audio that resonated with viewers. In addition to the animated sequences, SR delivered high-resolution stills used to decorate the presenters’ on-air set. The result is a vibrant suite of assets that bring energy, fun, and personality to the channel.

Our role throughout the project was as a creative partner, developing ideas and generating assets from conception through to final delivery for broadcast.
